Tuesday: Shelter Upgrade

Tuesday in Alliance Duel is themed as "Shelter Improvement". It awards you 2 victory points, like most of the weekday events in Alliance victory. You get points for using construction speedups, gaining structure power points, recruiting refugees, doing orange Bounty Missions, buying packs containing diamonds. As Bounty Missions require a bit of luck, and even if you have some refreshes saved and use them, it isn't guaranteed to see orange missions, getting points for that is uncertain. Refugee quality is also somewhat random and even if you have plenty of Refugee Tickets to spend. This randomness for these points (supposedly easy to get) can make the results for the day a bit uncertain. It still makes sense to do most of the recruiting and have enough refreshes for Bounty Missions.

 If you don't want to spend real money (or google play points) to buy points, this day is straightforward. You have to build your base. Aiming to use as much of building speed ups as possible is a reasonable goal. Finishing important constructions on this day of the week is also a reasonable goal. Using free speedup to finish a construction is an important bonus for this day. Speedups from alliance help can also allows you to finish constructions faster. For this reason I would do most of the short upgrades for less important buildings (some of them lower level) on the Shelter Upgrade phase of the Alliance Duel. 

Possible preparations and timing

Usually you want to be "your strongest" on Enemy Buster day, finishing some upgrades in the Holistic Growth phase on Friday, so you can collect your speedups and some resources on Saturday, Sunday and Monday before you need them for this phase. You doesn't want to use speedups to finish constructions on Sunday or Monday, as you can use the same speedup for better rewards on Tuesday. Again, you have two related Full Preparedness phases in the day, and you can just quickly use some speedups in those phases, you don't have to deal with longer tasks. 

Fuel economy, Deal Store and Strategy

You spend fuel for the daily events (Danger Lurks, Furylord). The rest of the fuel is there for looting. You might have speedups in VIP store, Glory Store, Items, etc. and you can even buy speedups from Alliance Store.  This part of event is mostly straightforward. There are appointments from the State President that can help with construction. Secretary of construction is one of the possible buff (15% construction speed, 3600 seconds free speedups) you might want to use, and it should used in combination with speedups and you should be able to use it quickly and pass it to another player after an hour if you can get it. The other, bigger, buff is the appointment to Administrative Commander (20% construction speed, 20% research speed), but it is only available for servers that successfully invaded the capital of another state. 

Secretary of Construcion is much more powerfull, if you can use the 1 hour extra free time and the speed buffs to quickly finish severel constructions just after each other and benefit from the extra time many times. Otherwise the Administrative Commander title with more speed bonus can be useful and can save more speedups. 

Packs and pay to win options

Buying speedups and resources you can use can be streaightforward options. Buying a 2nd, 3rd or even 4th construction queue are permanent upgrades, raiders license alllows you to loot zents and in some cases more resources. You have more resources for all Shelter Upgrade events if you use your fuel for plundering at the right time. If you have multiple construction queues available you might want to use one for the shorter upgrades, so even if you are doing a very long upgrade on one queue and cannot finish constructions to improve your Structure power on that slot, you can finish shorter tasks on the other and still benefit from the multiple sources of free speedups. 

One of the biggest pay to win option here is ApocAid monthly pass, as it generates not only diamonds, but daily doses of speedups you can collect, and you can also help fellow alliance members by sending out your traders. 

Additional considerations

  • You should prepare for the coming days Alliance Duel phases. 
  • The amount of points you can get today depends a lot on random factors, and this is why it is hard to require any specific level of participation.
  •  As an R4 I tend to expect that most of the people use most of their speedups on this day even if they have really long construction tasks, 1 minutes worth of construction speedup is 40 points plus bonuses. If you can use alliance coins to buy 2 boosts for 8 hours each that is 38400 Points plus bonuses. Buying some more from diamonds, glory points, etc. can easily make sure that you have more than 80.000 points, so at least 2 chests, even in the worst cases.
